P(!nk) is for perfection …

Hi guys, it’s Carmen! Unfortunately I was unable to catch Sunday night’s Grammy Awards but thanks to the endless coverage available on the web I was able to view the  ceremony’s highlights.

My personal fave? P!nk’s aerial acrobatic performance of ‘Glitter in the Air.’

Thanks to PerezHilton.com, if you too were unable sit down & watch the show, you can check out both P!nk & Lady Gaga’s fabulous performances as well a list of the night’s winners by simply clicking here.

Isn’t awards season fantastic?! Next up are the Oscars. Nominees were announced Tuesday morning by Anne Hathaway and Academy president Tom Sherak. I wasn’t at all surprised to hear the nominees. The Academy did make a change this year in the Best Picture category with 10 nominees vice the usual 5. I’m torn between “Precious” or “The Hurt Locker”.

Gabourey Sidibe was all smiles at her appearance on The View yesterday. Jeremy Renner has got to be happy with the 9 Oscar nods his film received. I’m looking forward to see who wins on Sunday, March 7th. Also excited to see Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin host the show…I really enjoyed their performances in “It’s Complicated”. I’m sure the Academy has something hilarious lined up for their opening number.

Since it is late Winter, what is the “in” look for makeup right now? Does anyone have any recommendations? I have been mostly wearing browns and light pinks, but I would love some suggestions.

This Spring think Lilly Pulitzer, Megan! Grassy limes, barbie pinks, lemony yellows- in a multicolored, transparent, matte or shimmery texture. Smokey purple! & for the lips? Plum, peach & orange tints.
